Chapter 50: Liu Qiang Panics

Tang Jiancheng turned his head and was momentarily stunned. That foolish fellow was none other than Liu Qiang, who had been knocked out by a wild boar.
At this moment, Liu Qiang was entirely wrapped in bandages, his body exuding a pungent medicinal smell. He leaned on crutches, strolling along the hospital corridor to clear his mind.
Seeing Tang Jiancheng, his eyes instantly brightened. Waving his crutches, he took several strides and stood before Tang Jiancheng, excitedly saying, “Benefactor, don’t you remember me? I’m Liu Qiang!”
Tang Jiancheng naturally remembered him but didn’t want much interaction with these three brothers, so he replied indifferently, “Don’t call me benefactor. I saved you purely because I was bored and had nothing better to do.”
Liu Qiang was taken aback; he hadn’t expected such a response. But thinking of how the three brothers had mocked his master and even planned to harm him, he understood Tang Jiancheng’s attitude.
“Benefactor, we were indeed wrong that day. We shouldn’t have targeted your master like that. After all, he was once a famous hunter in our Sanchong Township,” Liu Qiang sincerely apologized.
“My master? Who?” Tang Jiancheng was puzzled.
Liu Qiang said, “The Tang Sanpao who was with you that day. Isn’t he your master?”
Tang Jiancheng smiled and shook his head. “No, he’s just an older brother from my village.”
Liu Qiang laughed awkwardly. “Sorry, we got it wrong. We thought you were his disciple. By the way, benefactor, I don’t even know your name.”
Tang Jiancheng said, “My name’s Tang Jiancheng. That’s enough; I have things to do. Take care and recover well.”
“Alright, benefactor. When I’m discharged, I’ll come thank you properly.”
After Tang Jiancheng left, Liu Qiang slowly returned to his ward.
“Have you heard? Someone from Daping Village went hunting on Da Chun Mountain and killed twenty-one wild boars in one go!”
“You’re exaggerating. Who’s that awesome to kill so many wild boars at once?”
“Exactly! Sounds fake. Twenty-one wild boars? Do you think wild boars just stand there waiting to be killed?”
“I knew you wouldn’t believe it! That guy’s name is Tang Jiancheng. The whole village knows it clearly. My sister married into their village. When she comes back, you can ask her!”
Tang Jiancheng?
Just as Liu Qiang was about to enter his room, he caught the mention of Tang Jiancheng from some fellow patients outside. He immediately turned around and asked, “You said the one who killed twenty-one wild boars is Tang Jiancheng from Daping Village?”
“That’s right. Why, is he your relative?” someone asked.
Liu Qiang shook his head. “What does he look like?”
He was a bit hesitant to believe that the Tang Jiancheng they spoke of was his benefactor. Maybe it was someone with the same name.
But since they mentioned Da Chun Mountain and wild boars, it sounded very much like his benefactor.
If it really was his benefactor, then he must be incredible—almost godlike!

Killing twenty-one wild boars at once was unprecedented in the history of Sanchong Township!
“I haven’t seen him... Luckily, my sister’s here. You can ask her.”
At that moment, the man’s sister arrived.
“Sis, no one believes Tang Jiancheng hunted twenty-one wild boars. Can you tell them?”
Coincidentally, the sister was Yuan Chahua, the wife of Tang Xingcai.
Yuan Chahua glanced at everyone, confidently saying, “Believe it or not, Tang Jiancheng hunting twenty-one wild boars is not a lie.”
“We’re still eating the meat he sent us! Oh, I just saw him a moment ago, leaving the hospital. Probably went to buy medicine.”
“Actually, hunting twenty-one wild boars isn’t the real feat; his catch today is even more astonishing!”
Yuan Chahua paused there, leaving them hanging.
Someone quickly asked, “How astonishing?”
Everyone else looked at Yuan Chahua expectantly.
Feeling proud, Yuan Chahua happily held up six fingers and said with pride, “Today, he captured six wild buffalo alive! Six! Alive!”
“No way.”
“Wild buffalo are rare. If you see one, that’s already lucky. He actually found six?”
“That’s ridiculous—six wild buffalo, and alive? Does he think he’s a god?”
The others looked skeptical.
“Believe it or not, that’s his ability! And actually, it’s not just six, but eight. Two of the female buffalo are pregnant! They’ll probably give birth after the New Year!” Yuan Chahua said.
“I don’t believe it. Are wild buffalo that easy to catch? Alive, eight of them? That’s just a fairy tale!” someone sneered.
Yuan Chahua immediately got annoyed. “Don’t believe it then! Come on, brother, I made bone soup for you. In a few days, maybe I can bring you some beef.”
Then, Yuan Chahua helped her brother walk away.
Liu Qiang hurriedly stopped them and asked about Tang Jiancheng’s appearance and situation.
In truth, he had already concluded that the Tang Jiancheng Yuan Chahua spoke of was his benefactor.
It was just too incredible to believe.
After confirming this from Yuan Chahua, he was stunned.
Could his benefactor really be so powerful?
No, once discharged, he must visit his house personally!
Page 3/3
If he was really that formidable, he had to find a way to build a good relationship with him!
Back in the ward, Liu Qiang was too excited to sleep. He got up and went to visit Liu Mazi’s room.
Liu Mazi was lucky—despite being gored so badly by the wild boar, he survived.
However, he paid a heavy price: a section of his hand and leg had been amputated, part of his intestines removed, and he had lost a lot of blood.
He had been saved but was now drowning in debt.
“Big brother, do you remember the guy who was with Tang Sanpao? His name is Tang Jiancheng. He’s not Tang Sanpao’s disciple but a godlike person!” Liu Qiang immediately shared what he had heard with Liu Mazi.
Liu Mazi, still weak, whispered, “If that’s true, we must get closer to him in the future!”
“Right, that’s what I think too,” Liu Qiang said. “By the way, Liu Guang hasn’t come for several days. What’s he up to?”
Liu Mazi suddenly became agitated. “Not good. That bastard probably went to take revenge on Tang Sanpao. You’d better go find him! *Cough cough cough...*”
Liu Mazi started coughing violently.
Liu Qiang grew anxious.
He had just decided to get closer to Tang Jiancheng. If Liu Guang ruined that, he might want to kill someone!
Ignoring the doctors and nurses trying to stop him, he dashed out of the hospital.
Fortunately, a cousin had come to visit him.
He immediately asked his cousin to carry him to find Liu Guang.
His cousin happened to know where Liu Guang had gone, so he carried Liu Qiang directly there.
Seeing his cousin take an unfamiliar path, Liu Qiang asked, “Liu Cai, where exactly are you taking me?”
Liu Cai paused. “Brother Qiang, didn’t you tell me to take you to Brother Guang? He went to Daping Village. This road leads to Daping Village.”
“Why would he go to Daping Village?”
Liu Qiang’s heart sank. The guy really went to seek revenge.
Liu Cai said, “Brother Guang said he’s going to collect a debt.”
“Debt my foot! Hurry up, speed up! We have to stop him, or someone’s going to die!” Liu Qiang urged.
Liu Cai was bewildered but had no choice but to quicken his pace under Liu Qiang’s urging.
