Chapter One
Chapter 1: What If You Add Points Wrong After Transmigrating?
Early morning, Room 303, Male Dormitory, Haicheng University.
Qin Zhe lay dazed on the upper bunk, his mind a haze.
He felt as if he had transmigrated…
One moment, he had been lying in the tiny apartment he’d painstakingly saved up for; in the next blink, he found himself in a student dormitory.
This dorm room was all too familiar. It was the room he had lived in during his university days—the poster of that blue sea on the wall had been stuck there by his own hand.
The problem was… Qin Zhe had already graduated ten whole years ago!
Still trying to make sense of the situation, a blaring alarm sounded from the neighboring bed, followed by a startled exclamation.
“Damn! It’s already eight-thirty!”
In his stupor, Qin Zhe watched as a tall figure suddenly flipped up from the bed in a fluid motion, landing squarely on the floor.
That move… as graceful as could be.
If only the guy weren’t clad in nothing but a pair of red boxers, it might have been perfect.
But that wasn’t the point—the point was that his actions were simply too smooth! Under normal circumstances, jumping off the bed like that would have at least ended with a hilarious fall, if not a minor disaster.
Sensing Qin Zhe’s gaze, the tall figure turned, pulled on a pair of pants, and remarked with a strange look, “What are you staring at, Old Qin? It’s early in the morning—don’t be so gay.”
Qin Zhe finally got a clear look at the man’s face and felt even more bewildered.
Gu Ming, his university roommate.
But in Qin Zhe’s memories, Gu Ming had always been a short guy, about one-sixty-something in height. How did he suddenly become this nearly one-ninety giant?
Gu Ming quickly pulled on his trousers. Noticing Qin Zhe still staring at him in confusion, he urged, “Hurry up! Don’t forget we’re both on duty today—we have to stand guard at the gate. If we’re late, the department head will chew us out again!”
With that, Gu Ming grabbed a T-shirt in a rush. “I’m going ahead, you’d better get moving.”
Watching Gu Ming dash out of the dorm, Qin Zhe finally came to his senses. He looked down to think, then decided he might as well get up and see what was going on.
Though he still hadn’t figured out whether he had transmigrated or something else, most things seemed familiar.
Back in his university days, Qin Zhe had indeed been a member of the Student Council’s Disciplinary Committee.
Back then, the faculty kept a tight rein; checking students’ dress code and looking out for late arrivals and early departures at the gate was part of the committee’s responsibilities.
Walking out of the dormitory into the familiar campus, Qin Zhe couldn’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia.
Ten years since graduation—how distant did those memories seem?
He made his way across campus to the main entrance of the college, his mood gradually settling.
From afar, he saw Gu Ming waving at him. Qin Zhe smiled faintly and hurried over.
“Old Qin, what took you so long? Lucky the department head isn’t here, or we’d really be in trouble!” Gu Ming muttered in a low voice, frowning as Qin Zhe approached.
“Say, did you take the wrong medicine today? Why are you grinning so… lasciviously?”
“Get lost,” Qin Zhe shot back with a roll of his eyes. Taking a closer look at Gu Ming, he hesitated, then probed, “Hey, when did you get so tall? I remember you weren’t this tall before—did you take growth hormones or something?”
“You’re the one on hormones. Haven’t I always been this tall?” Gu Ming’s face darkened with exasperation. “You’re acting weird. Did you get rejected by a junior and take it too hard last night?”
Confess to a junior?
Qin Zhe’s eyes widened as he pondered.
Had he ever confessed to a junior back in university?
This… didn’t match up with his memories…
As he puzzled over this, a hurried female voice called out from above.
“Sorry! I’m late!”
Qin Zhe was momentarily stunned and looked up reflexively.
He could hardly believe his eyes.
Rushing toward them was a very beautiful girl.
But compared to her stunning looks, the way she descended from the sky riding a flying sword was even more… striking.
Well, let’s just say her skirt didn’t do much to hide anything.
Good lord! What am I seeing?
Qin Zhe was dumbfounded. He wondered if he’d read too many novels or if he was hallucinating.
Riding a flying sword to school!
Had the world suddenly turned fantastical?
Unlike the dumbfounded Qin Zhe, Gu Ming was perfectly calm. With a look of righteous authority, he whipped out his phone and snapped a photo under the girl’s skirt, then announced loudly, “Miss, flying is forbidden in and around campus. That’s the rule.”
The girl had just touched down and, seeing Gu Ming take a photo, hastily put away her flying sword and pleaded, “Gu! I was just in a hurry! Can you let me off this once? If I lose any more credits, I’ll have to pay hundreds more spirit stones!”
Clearly, she hadn’t realized her little wardrobe mishap had just been caught on camera.
Watching her anxiously circle Gu Ming, Qin Zhe was secretly baffled.
Back in his college days, if you got caught by the Disciplinary Committee for breaking rules, you’d lose credits, and too many lost credits could affect graduation.
But buying credits with spirit stones? What on earth was that?
While his mind reeled, a strange panel appeared before Qin Zhe’s eyes, much like a character status screen.
Race: Human
Talent: None
Potential Points: 100
Constitution: 1
Divine Sense: 0
Spiritual Energy: 0
Realm: None
Abilities: None
???
The sudden appearance of the panel left Qin Zhe full of questions.
What was this thing?
Glancing over it, Qin Zhe’s attention instinctively landed on the “+” sign next to Constitution.
After all, it was the first place with a “+”, so naturally he looked closer.
In the next instant, the number “100” under Potential Points shrank rapidly, and the number in the Constitution column shot up.
This was just like adding attribute points in a game—how could Qin Zhe not understand?
Given the situation, he was all but certain he had really transmigrated.
Despite the many familiar things around him, it was obvious—this was a completely different world!
Realizing he could add points, Qin Zhe immediately tried to shift his focus to something else, but it was too late.
All one hundred points!
He’d dumped them all into Constitution…
He was doomed!
What should he do if he added points wrong after transmigrating?
He was terribly anxious, hoping for advice online!
Cold sweat broke out all over Qin Zhe, and his instincts screamed that he’d just done something monumentally stupid.
Meanwhile, a male student with heavy dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn’t slept in days, walked through the school gate.
Without even glancing at Gu Ming, who was still entangled with the girl, the newcomer strode straight inside.
Gu Ming spotted him and his face changed slightly. He pretended not to notice, but then realized Qin Zhe was standing right in the way.
“Old Qin!” Gu Ming called out urgently, but it was too late.
The newcomer spat out a curt “Move!” and, raising his hand, shoved Qin Zhe aside.
With a dull thud, everyone at the gate saw something go flying out toward the street beyond.
They all stared in shock, wide-eyed, as if they’d seen a ghost, gazing at Qin Zhe who was still standing there…
