Chapter 104 of Volume Three: Women Are Tigers

Tiger Girl bared her small tiger teeth, hands on her hips, glaring fiercely at Yu Mu. Seeing the innocent look on Yu Mu’s face, she immediately deflated like a punctured balloon and said, “Forget it, I’ll just drag you along when the time comes.”

The two slowly ascended, flying up to about twenty meters, at which point Yu Mu could no longer rise higher.

Tiger Girl asked, “Do you have a rope?”

“I do~”

“Wow! A rare magical artifact. Looks like you carry quite a few treasures on you!” Tiger Girl’s gaze toward Yu Mu grew intensely passionate.

Yu Mu’s expression changed drastically as he hurriedly replied, “I’m just a poor boy, no treasures here. Haha~ hehe~”

“Hmph~ You act like I’m trying to rob you.”

‘Like I wouldn’t want to!’ Yu Mu thought to himself.

Tiger Girl grabbed the hemp rope and pulled Yu Mu higher into the sky. Only when they reached about a hundred meters did they head toward the large tent in her heart.

Upon reaching above the tent, the two rapidly descended.

This camp had no protective arrays or barriers to guard it. Perhaps they never even imagined anyone would dare to rob bandits!

Even so, there were people moving about inside. As they dropped from midair, the bandits noticed them immediately. But the two fell so fast that in an instant they landed in front of the tent’s entrance.

Only two guards stood at the door. They had just sounded the alarm before Tiger Girl’s two palms struck them dead.

“Who’s making noise outside? Are you looking for death?” A voice came from within the tent as a head poked out.

The moment this person appeared, Tiger Girl struck him squarely with a palm. Without a sound, he became a spirit lost beneath her hand.

Tiger Girl pushed the corpse aside and then entered the tent, with Yu Mu quickly following.

Though called a large tent, it was made from huge stones and thick wood, piled up sturdily. Though unattractive, it was very solid.

Inside, only four men sat, staring in surprise at Tiger Girl and Yu Mu who had just entered. They hadn’t yet realized what was happening.

But when they saw the dead body pushed in, fury instantly flared. They drew their weapons at once. The leader said, “Who are you? Why have you come to my mountain camp to kill my brothers?”

Tiger Girl chuckled, “Robbery! Hand over all your treasures obediently, and this lady will spare your lives.”

The four men, enraged by this, thought the woman mad to come rob a bandit den. Without hesitation, they all drew their magical weapons and surrounded her.

Whoosh—

Tiger Girl silently recited a spell. Suddenly, behind the leader appeared a large net that instantly bound him tight.

“Binding Immortal Net!? How did you get your hands on that?”

Tiger Girl ignored the question and raised her palms to strike at the remaining three.

The three did not back down and countered with their magical weapons. Although Tiger Girl faced three late-stage Golden Core cultivators, holding the high ground, taking all three down quickly was no easy feat.

Yu Mu saw that everything was going according to plan, so he relaxed and focused on dealing with the bandits continuously rushing in from the tent entrance.

Tiger Girl, following the principle of capturing the leader first when catching thieves, concentrated her main efforts on the strongest of the three. Under her relentless suppression, his situation grew increasingly desperate.

With a loud slap, the man’s magical weapon was knocked away. Cornered against the wall, he became like a trapped beast. A smile crept into Tiger Girl’s eyes as twin palms shot out blades of light toward him.

At that moment, an unexpected change occurred. The two others behind Tiger Girl, who had been overlooked, suddenly unleashed astonishing power, their magical weapons radiating renewed might.

“Nascent Soul stage! How did a Nascent Soul expert suddenly appear?”

Tiger Girl, shocked, turned around but was too late. She hurriedly summoned a pair of copper cymbals, which shattered instantly with a clang.

‘So it’s her!’ Yu Mu saw the cymbals and finally solved a long-standing mystery.

As Yu Mu’s thoughts shifted, Tiger Girl was suddenly stabbed through the back by a spear.

“Spiritual weapon! Even Seven Star Slope has spiritual weapons?”

The repeated surprises shocked Tiger Girl, but she forgot there was still someone in front of her.

This person, escaping near death, seemed prepared and took advantage of Tiger Girl’s stunned turn to strike a palm into her chest.

The spear that had pierced her body now fully went through. Tiger Girl, severely wounded, let out a thunderous roar and transformed into a white tiger with black stripes.

Her tiger body was as massive as an ox, her tail like a club, and with a flick she sent the disguised attacker flying hard into the wall. Then she lunged forward, claws on the shoulder of the other man in the corner. Opening her jaws wide, she bit through his throat but was kicked in the abdomen just before the man died.

Tiger Girl spat blood, though it was unclear whether it came from her or the man she had killed. The disguised Nascent Soul expert reached out to retrieve his spear, but Tiger Girl let out a tiger’s roar, biting the spear tip and refusing to let go.

Yu Mu was dumbfounded.

So she was a tiger spirit! Such a formidable true form and terrifying aura!

Seeing that the spear couldn’t be retrieved for the moment, the Nascent Soul expert immediately launched a double palm attack. The other man also charged in, attempting to surround Tiger Girl.

Though fierce in presence, Tiger Girl was heavily wounded and near exhaustion. Facing two attackers closing in, she was no match. Just as the two prepared to encircle her, suddenly a hemp rope wrapped around Tiger Girl.

With a swoosh, she was pulled from between the two to Yu Mu’s side. Yu Mu raised his palm and struck her hip. The white tiger roared angrily and snapped back.

Yu Mu shouted, “It’s me!”

Hearing his voice, the white tiger refrained from biting. Even so, the tiger’s roar left Yu Mu dizzy and ears ringing.

You really can’t touch a tiger’s backside—ancient wisdom does not deceive!

Tiger Girl received a rejuvenation technique, her wounds immediately ceasing to bleed and her energy surging. Her claws swung fiercely, driving back the two enemies closing in.

Only then did Yu Mu realize the white blades Tiger Girl emitted were actually claws cast from her ten claws. Aside from the copper cymbals and the Binding Immortal Net, she had not used any other magical weapons.

Though brave, Tiger Girl still had a spear stuck in her body and had to bite it frequently to prevent enemies from pulling it out. Under such circumstances, lingering was unwise.

Yu Mu urgently said, “Quick, follow me and break out!”

Yu Mu let out a roar and transformed into a bear, swinging his staff to sweep the attackers outside the tent.

Tiger Girl was equally shocked; she hadn’t expected Yu Mu to be a spirit too, let alone a bear spirit of a kind she’d never seen.

But now was no time to ponder this. Taking advantage of the enemies’ hesitation, she followed Yu Mu out of the tent.

Outside, Yu Mu swung his staff to repel the crowd, shouting, “You go first!”

“What about you?” Tiger Girl blocked the door, preventing the two inside from following.

“Don’t worry, I can escape on my own. You go now~”

“Can you really run away by yourself?” Tiger Girl was half doubtful.

“Hmm~ Trust me.” Saying so, he pulled out a gourd and took several big gulps of wine.

“Good, see you below the mountain.” With that, Tiger Girl soared into the sky.

Yu Mu roared, spewing a ball of fierce flame that scattered the attackers. Raising his hat in front, he sprinted wildly, breaking through the encirclement. Then he lunged forward and curled into a ball, rolling down the slope.

He rolled faster and faster, knocking aside anyone who tried to block his path.

Tiger Girl watched in disbelief, amazed at his tactic. Once Yu Mu had rolled far away, she too ascended and cast a spell to retract the Binding Immortal Net.

As she left the tent entrance, the three men inside rushed out, roaring as they gave chase.

Yu Mu rolled all the way down the mountain and vomited a large mouthful before standing up dazed. Looking back, he saw the dense crowd of bandits pursuing him down the slope. Without a moment’s hesitation, he slipped into the thick forest.

At the mountain’s base, beside the merchant road, Yu Mu peeked around cautiously.

“Why hasn’t she come yet? Did something happen?”

Just then, a fragrant breeze blew past, and before Yu Mu appeared a playful girl dressed in white with black stripes.

“Why are you only just here? How’s your injury?”

Yu Mu looked her over. Tiger Girl’s spear had been removed. Though her face was still pale, her complexion was much improved.

“I just went to find a place to heal, sorry to keep you waiting.” Tiger Girl smiled brightly, circling Yu Mu and appraising him from head to toe.

“What are you up to?” Yu Mu immediately grew alert.

“Nothing! Why do you always treat me like I’m about to rob you? I’m just curious about your true form. Come on, tell me, what’s your story?”

“What story?”

“Hmph~ Why did you hide the fact that you’re a spirit from me? And that staff of yours must be a gifted magical weapon, right? That hat is a spiritual artifact too, isn’t it? What other secrets are you hiding? And why did you smack my butt? Come on, spill it.”
