Chapter 131: My Apologies
After the explosion, the entire space fell into a deathly silence.
At this moment, Jing Dule radiated a dazzling silver light all around him, staring blankly into the abyss. He no longer bore the wild, rebellious look from before; instead, he seemed somewhat dazed.
“Brother, I still... can’t bring myself to... strike you down with deadly force...” Jing Dule murmured. From deep within the dark abyss, faint flickers of light began to shimmer.
The Frozen Chi Heaven Realm shattered with a thunderous crash, revealing an exquisitely radiant and dazzling flower.
This flower was colorless.
Jing Dule narrowed his eyes, sensing an energy equal to his own level. The flower emitted the aura of Sacred Words. Although it hadn’t reached the true realm of Sacred Words, he vaguely felt it was a power on the same plane as his, and not just a single Sacred Word’s power, but two.
Indeed, it was the Borobudur Flower of the Other Shore. Although it had not been consecrated by An Ruxiang and her sister’s lives, given their current conditions, they had no strength left to overdraw from their vitality. At this moment, the Borobudur Flower, like the Frozen Chi Heaven Realm, was entirely composed of the utmost spiritual word power.
As the Frozen Chi Heaven Realm shattered, the flower’s colors began to withdraw, finally disappearing into the bodies of He Jing and Xu Chen.
He Jing and Xu Chen now emanated an intense cold aura, forcing everyone to keep their distance. Their faces were tightly shut, lips void of any blood color.
Surrounding them, a massive Frozen Chi Dragon coiled protectively, sheltering the group beneath its body. Snowflakes danced around the dragon, waves surged and rippled, shimmering with an indomitable spirit beneath the silver light.
The two repeatedly used fused spiritual words. Even with the blessing of the Borobudur Flower, they were still beneath the level of Sacred Words, and the power they faced was S-class. Exhausted in both mind and body, as the Frozen Chi Dragon fragmented, they could no longer hold out. Blood gushed from their mouths, and they fainted.
“Fused spiritual words... interesting, truly interesting,” Jing Dule said, surprised that these people could still catch their breath under his lethal strike. He stared at their death-defying gazes, each eye gleaming with a rock-solid resolve. A deep sense of loathing spread uncontrollably within him.
“I rarely see such looks in death row prisoners, but what’s the use of looking at me? You should be looking at him,” Jing Dule said playfully, pointing to the side at Mu You.
The noisy sounds beneath their feet suddenly ceased.
Seeing this, Jing Dule’s smile grew wider.
Under the silver light, Mu You’s dark silhouette stretched long and thin, but the shadow seemed strange, as if only... half of him remained.
Ghostly green, crimson, and demon-purple lights flared fiercely in the valley’s depths, flickering and shifting, sometimes appearing, sometimes vanishing.
Xuan Yao, An Ruohuan, and An Ruxiang’s emotions completely collapsed. They saw Mu You was utterly split in two, with his left half long gone. From head to chest down to foot’s end, only the right half remained, like a spear thrust into the loose, broken earth. The blood at the corner of his mouth had dried up, and his single remaining eye was dim and unfocused.
“No!!!” The three women’s screams tore through the sky in agonizing despair.
“Ah, that shook me to death,” Jing Dule said smugly as he grabbed Mu You’s body and, as if throwing away trash, prepared to hurl it at the others. But suddenly, an alertness surged within him! Yet it was too late.
Two streams of ghostly green cold light shot forth with resolute force, shattering everything in their path toward Jing Dule. He sneered and flicked out two silver streams to counter the green light, but to his surprise, the cold light vanished, revealing two blades!
They were An Ruxiang’s Minghua Blade and Jingmu Thorn!
So close in distance, Jing Dule hastily summoned the Thousand-Eyed Demon, a subordinate weapon, to block the attack, but the two weapons—made from imperial-grade materials—pierced through it cleanly!
“What!” Jing Dule was startled. Imperial-grade materials cost hundreds of thousands of points even for a palm-sized item. How could an ordinary death row prisoner afford such expensive materials?
“What the hell! I want your life!” A fierce cold fragrance surged as a dense ghostly green light instantly pressed before Jing Dule’s eyes. An Ruxiang—the Demon Flower Queen—merged the Minghua Blade and Jingmu Thorn and thrust them mercilessly toward Jing Dule’s forehead.
“Naive! Do you think I’ll give you a chance?!” Jing Dule snarled fiercely.
Boom!!
Before he finished, a deafening explosion resounded. Boundless magical purple mist surged from the abyss like a tidal wave, engulfing Jing Dule instantly. A captivating, soul-seizing temptation arose.
“I... want... you... dead!!!” Xuan Yao’s voice echoed relentlessly through the endless darkness of the abyss.
Jing Dule had just blocked An Ruxiang’s fatal strike but accidentally inhaled the purple mist. Immediately, a burning heat surged through his body. Looking at An Ruxiang’s graceful figure, he even bled from his nose.
“You actually killed the most important person to my sister. Go to hell!” she shouted.
In the midst of the magical purple mist, a demon-red Borobudur Flower suddenly blossomed fully. A straight path of reincarnation appeared vividly before Jing Dule.
Suppressing the turmoil within him, Jing Dule, trapped and attacked from all sides, had not expected that besides the four instructors and the recently slain Mu You, there were four prisoners of remarkable strength. Moreover, from their energies, he sensed faint traces of Sacred Words. Especially from the demon-red Borobudur Flower, whose oppressive force had nearly reached the S-class threshold.
“Oh? Who could it be with such a grand formation? It turns out to be An Ruohuan,” Jing Dule sneered disdainfully, continuing, “You, who rely on a useless symbiosis with Manshushahua, don’t really think your A-grade Great Completeness strength can stand against S-class, do you?”
Saying this, Jing Dule grasped the Borobudur Flower before him and crushed it with brute force!
After casually destroying An Ruohuan’s attack, Jing Dule seemed deeply insulted, emitting a faint hidden glow.
“You lowly ants! How dare you look down on me and provoke me again and again. Do you really think I won’t slaughter you all to extinction?!”
Whoosh!!
An unparalleled aura burst explosively from Jing Dule, instantly dispersing the magical purple mist. With one hand each, he grabbed the necks of An Ruxiang and An Ruohuan, while a hundred tentacles transformed into countless silver spears, shattering the entire reincarnation path in all directions.
“I am codename Dawn, with S-class power and a subordinate tool nearly equal to an imperial-grade artifact. How could you ants dare insult me!”
For the first time, Jing Dule’s youthful face twisted with raging fury and gloom. His grip tightened as the two women kicked and struggled wildly, their faces turning purple from strangulation.
Just as Jing Dule prepared to crush the delicate flowers mercilessly, a skull suddenly flew in from nowhere, shattering his arms instantly. The two women staggered back in terror, fearful yet puzzled by the scene.
“Who?!”
The two tentacles of his subordinate weapon instantly transformed into new hands at his severed arms, but Jing Dule did not relax. Instead, he guardedly looked around.
At that moment, someone suddenly patted him on the back.
Jing Dule startled, leapt away quickly, and then looked back to see who had patted him where he had just stood.
“Did you say imperial-grade artifacts are rare? Sorry, is this what you meant?”
Xuan Yao hovered midair, her killing intent chilling to the bone, holding a purple skull, and slowly asked Jing Dule.
