Chapter 7: Keep the Fox-Spirit Horse at a Distance
Fire’s small face showed a hint of displeasure. Hmph, attracting trouble!
“Mommy, baby needs to go to the bathroom.”
“Okay, don’t wander off.” Yu Jin took a sip of juice, her heart pounding wildly, as if something bad was about to happen.
Inside the restroom.
Fire pulled a small syringe from his pocket, gritted his teeth, and injected it into his arm.
“Ouch, it really hurts!”
Tears welled up in his eyes as his brows furrowed like a caterpillar. “For Daddy and Mommy to be happy together, I’ll give it my all! Fox spirit, get lost!”
After a while, the little darling came out of the restroom. His pupils, originally dark green, had turned black, as if he had put on colored contact lenses.
It was a kind of medicine that could change pupil color, something Fire had helped Charles develop a year ago.
Fire was quietly plotting how to stage a melodramatic scene when a striking figure appeared and accidentally bumped into the small boy.
“Ah! How can you walk like that? Do you know how expensive this outfit is?” a sharp, piercing female voice rang down from above.
Fire fell hard to the ground, squinting dangerously, but when he saw who it was, his eyes immediately softened into a smile. “Auntie, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it.”
Who did he think he was? A fox spirit, of course!
Mu Keqing frowned, straightening her clothes while continuing to nag, “This is a limited edition Chanel, a birthday gift specially bought for me by Master Dongfang!”
Fire’s brow twitched as he coldly snorted in his heart. Damn irresponsible father, buying gifts for other women! Doesn’t he know how hard it is to make money? If he has too much money, he can give it to his illegitimate child!
“Is this dress really expensive? Auntie, just tell me how much, and I’ll have Mommy pay you back.”
Mu Keqing sneered but then lowered her gaze. When she saw the little boy’s face, her expression instantly changed.
Where did this child come from?
That face, how could it be...
“Whose child are you?” Mu Keqing asked in shock.
Fire frowned, then suddenly smiled like a little gentleman. That elegant, hypocritical smile made her think of Dongfang She at once.
While Mu Keqing was still stunned, Dongfang She had already approached, hands in his pockets, standing proudly with a charming smile playing at his lips.
“What happened here?” His voice was gentle and seductive.
The little darling on the ground shivered and quickly got up, lowering his head and politely brushing off the dust. “Uncle, I’m sorry. I accidentally bumped into Auntie.”
Dongfang She had never liked children, but the boy’s graceful manners and evident upbringing surprisingly kept him from losing his temper.
“I’m fine. Let’s go, She.” Mu Keqing felt uneasy and, grabbing Dongfang She’s arm while the boy kept his head down, attempted to leave quickly.
“Oh, Auntie, aren’t you going to have me pay for the dress?”
“No need!” Mu Keqing didn’t dare linger, eager to leave and praying Dongfang She hadn’t noticed the child.
Suddenly—before anyone could react—Fire stepped on Mu Keqing’s skirt. With a thud, the famous singer fell awkwardly, her dress snagging on something and tearing badly.
Tsk tsk... It seemed this limited edition Chanel would never see the light of day again on this fox spirit.
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to!” Fire immediately played innocent and hurried over, flustered as he tried to help her up.
